City Church Coventry

Who we are.

It all started with…

…a small home group in 2003, City Church Coventry was planted from Living Rock Church in December 2009. Since that time we have grown steadily into a community of all ages from many parts of the city. We appreciate and are supported by friendships with many churches across the city and by our Ministries Without Borders partners in the UK and worldwide.

 Our Beliefs

We believe ...

...as he has revealed himself to be through the Bible and his Son Jesus.
We believe in God the Father who loves all people and created them for a relationship with himself.
We believe in Jesus who came to reveal God and restore us to the relationship with him that he intended. He did this by dying for our sins, rising again from the dead, ascending into heaven, and pouring out the Holy Spirit. We believe that he was and is fully God and fully man, and that he is the only way for people to come to God.
We believe in the Holy Spirit, who is fully God and who is active in the church today, both individually and corporately, to display the glory of God and to empower us to continue the work that Jesus started.

We believe that the 66 books of the Bible are the eternal, inspired, infallible word of God.
The Bible speaks with God's authority, to all people of every age and culture, to reveal Christ and to establish every matter of doctrine and practice in the church.
We believe in a God who is always speaking, but that nothing he will say will in any way add to or contradict the revelation already laid out in the scriptures.

The true church of God consists of all those who belong to Jesus and acknowledge him as Lord in every part of the world and at every time, past, present and future.
Every member of the universal church needs to be rooted into a local expression of the church under the oversight of elders who are accountable before God for their care.
It is through the church that God has chosen to reach and transform the world with the good news of hope in Jesus and to see the will of God done on earth as it is in heaven.
We hope that you will join us for this great adventure!

Who we are connected to

 Ministries without Borders

We have the joy of working with wonderful people all across the globe under the banner of ministries without borders®.

ministries without borders® are people who are inwardly free and outwardly mobile; who use their gifts, talents and abilities to take the message of hope and the gospel of good news to the world. We believe that every mandate given by God can be achieved and that there are no problems too difficult for His power. He is a God of miracles.

Apostles & Prophets

We believe that the ascension gifts of Ephesians 4: apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, & teachers, are essential for the church today. Within the ministries without borders team, Keri Jones is the apostle who works most closely with City Church. We also draw regularly on many other men and women who equip us in the mission of God.
