ABOUT THE MAN

Tony was born in Croydon, South London in 1943 and was saved through the outreach of a local Baptist church at the age of 17. Following training at All Nations Missionary College he married Hazel and they moved to Cornwall. There they became part of the radical House Church Movement of the 1970s, encouraged by the ministry and friendship of Bryn Jones and Arthur Wallis.

In the 1980s Tony moved first to South Wales and then West Yorkshire as part of Bryn Jones's Harvestime/CMI apostolic team, regarded as a prophet by his fellow-ministers. In this context he developed a long-lasting ministry partnership with Keri Jones, which continues to this day.

Since the 1990s Tony lived in the Midlands. His wife Hazel passed away in 2002.

Early in the morning on Tuesday the 5th Of May, while surrounded by family, Tony Ling went to be with the Lord.

Tony was a prophet, father, pioneer and man of God who had a profound impact on countless people’s lives as he diligently pursued God’s will.

We will never know the breadth of impact his life had, though we know it spans countless nations, thousands of people and brought transformation through declaring that Jesus is King.

In the words of Tony himself,
“Death is still an enemy - but it is a toothless enemy. It is a clawless enemy. It is an unmasked fiend who, behind the wretched grimace, is just a clown who has been brought into the service of King Jesus. His job now only consists of opening the door for you into the presence of the Saviour. He is a doorkeeper. That’s all he is. We do not have anything to fear. Jesus wants us to know this.” - Tony Ling, The Lion And The Lamb (volume 1)

We know he is rejoicing in the heavens. A good and faithful servant of the Lord.
