Family Life
The church is a growing family and like all families is full of life, noise and activity. Here are some of the things we do regularly together.
Sunday mornings
We meet every Sunday morning to worship and to meet with God. We start at 10.30 and finish some time between noon and 12.30. Our chief aim each week is to bring a sacrifice of praise that puts a smile on the face of our Father! We expect spiritual gifts to be used in all our gatherings and by a variety of people. God’s Word is always preached, though not always the same way. There are usually teaching times for the children, but once a month all ages stay together for the whole meeting and we celebrate the covenant meal (bread and wine) together.
Open Home
Each Sunday after the meeting a different home is opened to provide lunch and a time of fellowship for anyone who wants to come along: young and old, visitors and regulars. These are very popular times and the food is always good!
Life Groups
Life groups are small groups that meet through the week for encouragement, prayer and reaching out. Some meet in the evening, others through the day; some are large some are small. Our intention is that everyone in the church is ‘plugged-in’ to a Life Group.
Love My Street
This is our ongoing project to reach out into the streets of the city to show the love of God and what it means to be a community. See the Love My Street website for more information
Presence on the Streets
On several occasions through the year we like to get out onto the streets of our city to make a joyful noise in praising God. God has blessed us with many gifted singers and instrumentalists, and calls all his people to proclaim his praises. It’s a great way to represent Jesus and also gives us a great chance to talk to people about him.
Live Lounge
Starting 14 September and every second Wednesday of the month thereafter we will hosting Live Lounge. Come along after 7pm to Costa coffee in the city centre (Upper Precinct) for an evening of musical entertainment with a twist of faith.
